Hi everyone,

I am looking at counter pressure fillers.  I have looked at a number of commercially available fillers and I also have plans for a home built filler from the book Brew Ware: How to Find, Adapt & Build Homebrewing Equipment.  I am wondering if anyone has built the filler outlined in the book and if they have had good results with it.  I am not a huge do-it-yourselfer, but this project seems pretty simple and inexpensive.

I suppose I should add that if anyone has built a good counterpressure filler and can point me to some plans, I would appreciate that as well...I am not wedded to the plans in my book

When I bottle from my kegs (in frequently, but I do it) I use a racking cane and a drilled stopper.  #2 stopper, IIRC, but this should be confirmed.

You can release pressure with the stopper and get minimal foaming.

Works pretty darn well and is super cheap.

Somewhere around here, there's a guy that has a video on making one out of a picnic tap (cobra tap), rubber stopper, bottling wand & air pump needle.
I just used one to bottle for a competition & it worked pretty well.

I made the CPBF from the aformentioned book & used it for many moons before "upgrading" to a FOXX Mfg. model. Not too much difference except the valves.
