Brewing up a Spiced Holiday Strong ale, using the Cal V yeast cake from my Pale Ale of two weeks ago.  Also planning to add more ginger / honey to the hard ginger ale I've been experimenting with.

I'm hoping to brew in the next few days, not sure what yet though.  An ale, but I need to check my stocks and see what I have the malt to make.  Also need to clean carboys and kegs, and check on (keg) the batch I brewed last week.

So far, everyone's in sync with what I've written, so wee! The only unfortunate part is that now I have to find something to be edgy and controversial about! :)

Controversy?  Just tell them Tomme doesn't know what he's doing, that should stir things up.  You might get hanged though.

Brewing a Wit on Sunday and smoking a bunch more malt.
My friend from Swamphead Brewery is coming down from Gainesville with three sacks of malt to smoke on my smoker.  The Alder Smoked Porter we made with the last batch took first place at the WaZoo beer festival out of about 250 beers, so he wants to make 10 more barrels so he can have a batch with chipotles.
(I wonder if there's a market for cold-smoked malt?  Should I start a thread on ingredients?)

I am going to try to brew a red rye that I have been trying to develop a recipe for.
A lot of trying in there, but I have to brew it this weekend or next so that it will be ready for an event on Sept 24th.

possibly making a starter for the triple decoction hefe I am brewing with my wife. I figured her first brew should be as complex as possible so that every subsequent one would seem simple.
