Yeah, but how can you go wrong sauteing fresh veggies in olive oil with herbs added?  That doesn't mean it was anything that a French person would recognize as ratatouille.

We're not all michelin-starred chefs you know :-p Your average French person these days would sadly more easily recognize a frozen pizza than homemade ratatouille, but so it goes. Did you take a picture? If so, post it and I will ask what people think.

No pictures, I was thinking about it but the kids were hungry and my wife thinks I'm weird when I take pictures of food.  And other times too.

I slice them about 1/4 thick, and make a marinate from olive oil, fresh  minced garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. A half hour soak, then on the grill for abot 3 minutes per side. Don't even taste like vegetables when I'm done.

This ^^^^^

Love them grilled EVOO, salt and pepper.  8)

My wife whipped up a batch of zuchini chocolate chip cookies last night. yummy. recipe from 'Animal Vegetable Miracle'. Can't say the zuc really makes much flavour contribution but it's a good way to get rid of excess if you don't have chickens.

+1 I have been known to use pickles instead. Interesting flavor combo.

Seriously?
Dill or sweet pickles in the "pickle bread"?

ROFLMAO! ;D

Try it! I used dill pickles and it was a little tangy but sweet ought to be rockin.
