American Football
« on: September 08, 2011, 08:21:21 am »
I am still old man grumpy, but I guess I will be watching. :-X

My team is "rebuilding" after a wholesale dismantling thanks to the Lil Hoody.
I really never could understand altered allegiance, but I might be watching a few other teams this year. :-\
My gal will be watching Cutler; I guess there are worse things your wife could make you do.

Whatcha got?

I'll consider the season a success as long as the Pats beat the Dolphins, Jets, Colts, Steelers, and the other 10 teams they play this year.  ;)

I hope to make it to more than one game this year!

GO PATS!!!!

Titans fan here. But I like to watch football, college or pro, but especially pro. Just glad the season is officially here. Means I have to get the antenna rigged up again.

Family affiliations require me to at least pay a little attention to the Eagles this year.  I'm not much of a Pro Football fan but one of my nephews is the new kicker for the Eagles this year.  I need to at least know if they're winning to keep my family happy.  ::)

Sweet - he's on my fantasy team.

GO COLTS!

Oh wait, we're gonna suck this year  :'( but with Kerry Collins, we won't suck as bad as if we had to rely on Curtis Painter.  And I assume the Colts still can't stop the run and can't run it themselves...

BTW - Is there another type of Football - even Canadians don't watch the CFL and the 'other' football is called soccer  ;)

From the Eagles website:  "The Eagles selected Alex Henery in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. A first-team All-America selection in 2010, Henery handled the kicking and punting duties at the University of Nebraska, scoring 397 career points on 68-of-76 field goal attempts (89.5 percent) and finishing his career as the most accurate kicker in NCAA history."

He should have a great career ahead of him.  HuskerNation loves him.

We're all very happy for Alex and his bride.  We're crossing our fingers he doesn't get hurt.  He's a very down to earth kid and should be a good add to any team.  I don't expect many tabloid headlines about him.   :)
