Apropros of nothing, but history

This is a piece of LA that's long, long gone - a 1940's film of a drive through the Bunker Hill section of downtown LA. Not 20 years later, that whole section - all those old queen anne houses were ripped down and roads buried and churned to create the foundation of LA's modern skyscraper zone.
