:D I honestly never heard that before! That's clever. So I know you didn;t come up with it!  :P

My optimism from earlier in the season is now completely shattered. That was also one of the worst 2 minute drills I ever witnessed.

Also, I may never have mentioned this but the dolphins are a close second favorite team all the way from childhood. So you and I have at least something in common besides our love of craft beer and McRib sandwiches.

Of course I invented it, right along with decoction mashing, and forced carbonation...   :-*

Actually, mostly they're called the Flaming Thumbtacks.

I've been a Dolphan since they started.  Being a Florida boy I was thrilled when we finally got our very own big league team, football, baseball... whatever.  (spring training didn't count).

Prior to the Dolphins expansion I was a Colts fan.  Imagine my excitement when Coach Shula moved to Miami.

Now, if they could just get their sh!t together once again.

:D the Flaming Thumbtacks is pretty good.

A good Raider smear in November makes for a great weekend.  The man child Tebow threw some good balls, and was tough as hell.
Raider nation was an ugly place.  Plenty of laundry and personal foul cheapshots.  Denver D got three pics, special teams TD, 300 yards rushing.  Yep team win. Only one game back. ::)

I liked hearing Sporano in the locker room after the game.  Cheers to the swimming mammals.

How about Flaco down the stretch against the Steel curtain?   :o

I grew up in Jacksonville.  Even though I left the year they got the team, I felt some connection to them so I kept watching.  occasionally I make it back to go to a game with my brother.

I like the Fins too though - that's who I grew up watching.

I admire loyalty.  Can't blame a guy for following his hometown team (says the guy who lives 5000 miles from where he lived when he became a Dolphan)

He was solid and got very little help from his receivers.  Good thing he had the zebras on his side. ;)  That last touchdown there was offensive pass interference (not just defensive), it should have been offsetting and re-run the play.  Of course the ravens never should have gotten that far since there was holding in the end zone (uncalled) on the first play of the drive, it should have been a safety.  The calls were pretty lopsided in that game.

Oh please...  The refs in Pittsburgh were pulling for Baltimore.

If it were relevant there would be stats for it.   They only list Ws, Ls & Ts.   ;)

I'm surprised Carl, I thought you watched a lot of football.  You've never seen the refs call a game in favor of one team or another?  It might not have been intentional, but they called a very tight game against Pittsburgh and let a lot of things slide for Baltimore, including at least 2 pass interference penalties and a helmet to helmet shot that Ray Lewis gave Hines Ward that knocked him out of the game.  Then there was the blown call on the dropped pass that they reviewed and somehow still got wrong.  They missed one pass interference call against PIT, but that was the only thing I saw besides the usual holding that they don't call unless it is blatant.

Sure, in the end the only thing that matters is the wins and losses, but that doesn't mean that what happened didn't happen.

Btw, I only saw the first half of the Denver game but Tebow was most unimpressive.  I guess he stepped it up in the 2nd half?

I figured out he didn't watch football the moment he started bragging on how great a QB tebow is.  8)
