as a Giants fan...I ask myself every week I watch them, was the Superbowl worth basically signing up for 5 more years of Coughlin and Eli...it used to be a quick yes...these days...I just don't know. It's pretty painful.

With Sporano, Henne and the rest, I'm still tryin to justify $300 + for my DirecTV Sunday Ticket. (Although I'm really pleased to see Jason Taylor, #99, back in a Dolphins uniform again.  He made an UGLY Jet!)

Early games comes on at 7AM here, late games 10:15AM  SNF = 2:30PM

Poor Phil, if he can get the games over there - early game 5PM, late game 8:15PM, and SNF at 1:30AM Monday.  When the States go back on Standard Time they shift to an hour later.

Hey Phil, can you see the DirecTV satellite from there?   Its latitude is over Central Texas.  We can see it from here but it is only 26 degrees above the S.E. horizon.  Sometimes subject to rain fade.  Got a big ole honker dish here to collect enough signal through all that atmosphere.

American Football?  TFW?  Who calls it American Football?!   NFL Baby!!

Sat TV, that's for old geezers like Punatic! I get all my football action from NFL GamePass, streaming and on-demand. So if it's a night game, I either fly out for the game (like for this year's Vikings/Bears game) or I impose a media blackout and watch it onDemand the following Monday. It's like homebrewed MNF.

So true.
I watch my GBTV on my iPad all over the place, any time, night or day.  Seems that gold is not the only thing GB's got right.  (heh, heh)

But, with Sunday Ticket I can watch 6 games at once! (In realtime)

Your problem is your GM. How about drafting better? Hard for Manning to get the ball down the field when he doesn't have a supporting cast.

I wish Lovie could find a pair....

..
of o-line guys able to stop the pass rush. Sigh. 5 sacks in nearly as many plays.

It is really all Cutlers fault. ::)  Why the hate?  FOX admits headlines were 'fabrications'

I've got an idle question. How can the Cowboys be America's team when there's no Cowboys bars in Pittsburgh, yet Dallas has at least a couple Steelers bars.   :D  (along with nearly every other large city in the US.)

The Patriots are America's Team.  Look at the facts:

  1.  Patriots - duh
  2.  Uniform colors are Red, White, & Blue
  3.  Success through team effort...no super star egos ( yes that includes Brady you haters  :P )
  4.  Star quarterback marries hot super model

Everthing that America stands for and strives for ( especially that last one )

now, I'm not trying to use Facebook for analysis purposes but apparently the Dallas Cowboys have 3million facebook friends. the next closest is the steelers with 2.5m. 90% of the rest of the league is pretty distant. i don't know if this really makes them the most popular or if it's because it's been so hot in texas this year people stay inside and surf facebook more than any other state giving them a better chance of friending a football organization. :-) all that said, i was blown away walking into a small nashua, nh bar and seeing the place filled with steeler fans...

eh, i've never been impressed by eli and/or coughlin. the year they made the miracle super run, half way through the season the two were about to get run out of town. now with hixon done...and steve smith looking like he's going to play this weekend for the green birds...things are looking great! :(

With regards to your 3rd point, which team has more Superbowl wins? (Also through team effort)
Point 4, Ben's wife may not be a model, but she's hot enough to be one. (And is also immaterial to which team is better.)

Oh yeah. My point about Dallas as regards to out of town team bars goes for Boston too. ;) No Pats bars in Da Burgh, but Steeler nation has a couple haunts in/around Boston.

BTW, the Steelers are 14-11 all time against the Pats. :)

Titans looked ugly but pulled out the win against the hapless Broncos.

Mike Vick - OUCH! 2 weeks in a row knocked outa the game. He's paying up that heavy karma price no doubt! "Dream team"... Bwahahahaha!
