To counterbalance...
« on: September 20, 2011, 10:20:50 am »
Denny's whiskey link makes me ire-ful.

Here's something that reminds me of the good of humanity. Stick with it. Trust me.

Very cool stuff.

I know a couple of surgeons who volunteer time to Operation Smile.  One of my kid's 6th Grade class held a preseason basketball tournament (it's a class service project, every year the class chooses the charity)  to raise money for them several years ago.  Its nice to see the changes a simple surgery like that can make.

drew you seem to be a respectable man...cheers

here's a lighthearted perspective reminder for all of us.  stick with this one to the end too, he really hits on the impact of a very simple (and cheap) item that most of us give little thought to

I love TED talks. I've always wanted to: attend TED (yowch the money!) and give a TED talk on beer and brewing.

Can you imagine? I wonder if the TED folks have a no swearing rule? :)

You know, I can speak less bluely, but where's the fun in that? :)

I'm a newcomer to TED talks, but I'm watching the videos as fast as I can.  I'd give my left nut to attend <sigh> sounds like they might want my money instead.  I do thoroughly enjoy public speaking; it's just that my opinions don't seem to be in high demand.  :) Let us know when you're giving your TED beertalk.

Your need/desire to spice speeches up with expletives cracks me up...you could say that it's against my nature to swear.  Then every once in a while due to who knows what, not more than roughly 50% of the time,  I find myself liberally dosing my sentences/thoughts with good-natured foul language and abnormally base humor.  Fall time always seems to get me
