Working 18+ hour days both yesterday and today...better than no work, but no time for beer, either.

I'm kicked back in the recliner out on the lanai, sippin' a Very Old Dark Kilauea Ale and tonic with a squeeze of lime from the lime tree at my elbow, studying the galactic center in the Milky Way over there in Sagitarius, listening to E.C.'s new cover of Layla, noodling around on my iPad, while a cool, night blooming jasmine scented breeze blows gently down from Mauna Kea.

We got our first snow on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa this week.

It was a very busy work-week.  I loved every minute of it.  It's feels really good to have earned an over-nighter out here under the stars...

Really??!!  I'll prob have to mow at least 2 more times.  One real soon and then right before Halloween (so I can find all the land mines the dog planted before the trick or treaters).

Found out that the people buying my house have accepted an offer on theirs - looks like I'm moving to 9 acres outside of town.
Hockey season is around the corner, playing poker tonight, won 2 bronze medals for my homebrew this week.  Huge progress this week getting my son potty trained.

Since we've had just under 2 inches of rain all year I've only mowed 3 times all season, except for the small area in the back yard I water with my water well.
Enjoy living outside of town.  We have 2 acres one mile from the city limits and absolutely love the peace and quiet.  My closest neighbors also homebrew and are great people so life has been very good since they move in.

Next week is my last week of work before 3 1/2 weeks of vacation. Gonna have to bust my ass and probably put in around 80 hours this week, but after that, smooth sailin'. We're going kayaking with some friends today and then I'm gonna start grinding grain for my next batch, hopefully get them in the fermenters before we leave so when I get back I got myself some more homebrew. Beer engine is being delivered sometime this week and then I can get some of my (apparently not infected) english mild flowing through there.

Edit to say, forgot to add: we successfully launched and recovered our space balloon yesterday! Pic:
