Well, I have two and a half sacks of grain that I'm picking up on Monday. So the plan will be to brew an ordinary bitter to build up a yeast cake. Then brew an old ale and partygile a mild in a week or so.

I picked up the following for a little R&D:

Innstadt Original Helles

Where'd you get the Innstadt??  Had both the Helles and the Extra Schwarze when we were in Passau a few years back.  Haven't seen it since.

Got the Innstadt from Surdyk's in NE Minneapolis. They have one the greatest beer selections I've ever seen.

That's fantastic.  I didn't even know that it got imported.  Now to find it (or make a road trip up north ;))

Brewed an all local beer on Wed.  Hops from the back yard, malt was Michigan grown (by Bells), yeast was cultured from a couple of Bells bottles, and water from lake Huron.

Might do an IPA on Sunday.

Smoked some wheat malt today.  Need to smoke more.  Wood I used is oak.  The beer will be a Graetzer, see page 192 in Radical Brewing.

I'm planning to brew a smoked hefewiezen for Sunday. Also transferring a rye IPA to secondary for dry hopping and tapping a keg of Belgian Wit.

More apple pressing for cider today (I've got 25 gallons on the go) at the community orchard.

Brewing a smoked porter tomorrow, half of which I plan to add chipotles to.

Going to make a starter for a California Common using my homegrown hops too.

Got reloaded on Galaxy hops Fri. Another all Galaxy hopped AIPA tomorrow. Last 10g batch disappeared in record time...

Done Brewing until next year when I get all my house hold goods from here in Sicily.  My pumpkin ale did finish bottle conditioning this weekend though and turned out pretty good.

Yep . . my brewing season is over as well.

Racked the Tripel to secondary last night and kegged the Patersbier. Next weekend will be the big push to get the last 30 gallons of  Blonde, Tripel and Wit into the kegs in time for the third annual Tennessee Cigar and Brew Fest coming up on the 29th.
Just brew it...
