If you want to go way out there, you could take a Vienna or Marzen and hop it heavily with your hops. Keep the hopping to FWH and late/flameout hops (and maybe some dry hopping). Sort of like an amped-up Sam Adams.
I'm doing something similar with my "Hoptoberfest" right now (using Columbus, Amarillo and Ultra), and the gravity samples are so damn tasty I don't know if it will finish lagering before I end up drinking it all...
