Wheat beers or Hefeweizens are my least favorite.  Belgians being my 2nd least favorite.

Not a big fan of SHV beers. I always brew one to enter into comps that I'll be judging, so as to escape having to drink them. Sound logic?  :D

Any Alt beer that I make! (Three so far.)

I've had Alt fresh in Germany and canned elsewhere in Europe, and thought it was pretty good.

At home though, it's a style that continually challenges me.

My Kolsch-style brews are good, however.

Are you letting the Alt sit long enough?

3 months lagering is when its best for me.

it would be worth it to just submit ANY beer to that category to not have to judge it.  hell, bottle up your spent starter wort.

I really do think that sounds gross...I've only had one vanilla porter ever and it was Breckenridge Brewing's vanilla porter at the brewery in 2005.  I liked it then, but tried it again a couple years later and YUCK!  Same thing happened with Pyramid Apricot Ale.

First thing...what are 1a, 1b, 1c etc?

BJCP style references.  1a, b, and c are light, standard, and premium american lagers respectively.

Thanks!

I don't think I've ever met a Kolsch that I liked.
I assume you have never had mine then ::)

If I had to pick my least favorite beer style it would have to be the stout family...I like stouts, but not as much as other beer style families ;D

I would agree with fruit beers.  I make an apricot wheat for some women folk, but I don't really care for it.  Also not a big wheat beer fan.  Don't care for Dopplebock much or sour beers.  Some sour beers I enjoy, but not enough to ever brew 5 gallons or even 3 gallons.

Depends on the situation. I love a good Belgian Dark Strong Ale, but would definitely not want to drink one after mowing the lawn on a hot Florida summer day. I would put 1a, 1b, 1c at the bottom of my list like many of you, but on that same hot summer day, a fresh, ice cold one can be rather refreshing (at least the 1c  8)).
