I can't say anything about "whataburger" as I have never had one. But McDonald's fries are the best fast food fries when they are hot out the basket. If they wait under a heat lamp for a few minutes they turn to garbage. Wendy's hamburgers arre usually better than McDonald's though. Agree they don't seem as good as they once did.

I like Burger King fries a lot more than McD's fries but don't ever look at the calories you get from BK fries.  They soak their fries in sugar water so they are crisper than others fries.  This adds a sweeter flavor, a crispy shell and a gawd awful amount of useless calories.

Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

Really? I hate BK's fries. Absolutely the worst IMO. When I was in college I used to love BK but the last time I ate there was probably 5 years ago. They do smell good when you drive by but the last hamburger I ate there did not sit well at all. Didn;t help that the place was nasty on the inside.

I don't get the fascination with McDonald's fries.  They're too skinny.  I don't like many fast food fries anyway, there's no crinkle cuts!  Although if I had to choose, I'd say Wendy's fries are my favorite.  But then again, I almost never eat fast food and if I do, it's Wendy's.  Spicy chicken sammich, fries, and a frosty.  Nummers!

My worst guilty pleasure is a 2 piece, spicy, all dark meat meal at Popeye's with Cajan rice, biscuit and a soda.  It just drips with oil but it's so good.

Not a big fan of krinkle cut fries either.

My order of fries, from best to worst (that I've had) are

1 Five Guys (best burgers too)
2 McDonalds (when hot and fresh out the grease)
3 Wendy's (2nd best burgers)
4 Taco Hell
5 Burger King

Luckily for me we no longer have a BK here so that's not an option, and the last time I went to Wendy's for lunch they were out of hamburgers-who's the moron that let that happen?  So the $1.29 double meat green chile hangover chaser cheesburger is my only fast food attraction, and that's less than once a month.  Now the green chile bacon/egg burrito at the gas station across the street is a whole different problem.  The manager there wants me to hire her so she overstuffs my burritos-I've had to send employees over there to get my breakfast so she doesn't kill me with too much food.

Yep. Four ounces per barrel.

They have to add more hops.  It's the only flavor the stuff has.   8)

And for the record, I'm not arguing for any particular fries, I'm just trying to act like I'm working on a Friday afternoon.

four oz per bbl may be more accurate than hyperbole. I just brewed a belgian dubbel today. Less than 3 oz per bbl to reach 17 BUs.
