Sooooo, I didn't dry hop the porter. I wasn't able make it work but in the end, the porter ended up being an extra stout at 6.8%. Has a nice flavor but is going to need some time to condition.  I need to get another vessel to dry hop.

You could always try dry hopping in your primary fermenter, maybe after initial fermentation has taken place.

Glad you didn't, after I read you were contemplating the Nelson Sauvin dryhop.
That hop might actually clash.

Enjoy!

Definitely going to be making a porter as my first batch when I get back home, and I love the Willamette idea. I'll be dry hopping with some after reading this thread.
Beer: so much more than just a breakfast drink.

Well tell us how it ends up. I wasn't able to make it happen how I wanted so I held back this time. I am happy how the stout turned out and look forward to drinking some in a few weeks and a few months.
