Karl Larson of Harrisburg, PA, member of the The Saccharomyces Saints, won a gold medal in Category #27: Wood-Aged Beer with a Wee Heavy aged in Rye Bourbon barrel during the 2019 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in Providence, RI, with the help of Jeremy Nye. Larson and Nye’s Wood-Aged Beer was chosen as the best among 310 entries in the category.
