The Pro-Am competition is a great oportunity for homebrewers, Newlin says, and he had an amazing exerience with IMBIB brewmaster Jason Green. "The key was replicating the culture in the barrel," Newlin says. "The commercially brewed beer is almost indistinguishable from the homebrew," he adds.
Matt Johnson, IMBIB jack of all trades, describes the beer as similar to a blonde Flanders ale. "It has all these cherry, fruity characters in the aroma and flavor with hints of red wine with a nice sharpness," Johnson says.
