  • For 5 gal (18.9 L)
    • 10.5 lb (4.76 kg) Domestic 2-row malt
    • 0.75 lb (0.24 kg)  Weyermann caraamber
    • 0.5 lb (0.23 kg) crystal 30'L
    • 0.5 lb (0.23 kg) light dextrine malt such as carapils
    • 0.5 lb (0.23 kg) Pre-gelatinized flaked oats
    • 0.75 oz (21 g) Chinook hops (60 min)
    • 0.5 oz (14 g) Centennial hops (1 min)
    • 1 oz (28 g) Cascade hops (1 min)
    • 0.5 oz (14 g) Simcoe hops (1 min)
    • 0.25 oz (7 g) Cascade hops (flameout)
    • 0.25 oz (7 g) Centennial hops (flameout)
    • 0.5 oz (14 g) Simcoe hops (flameout)
    • 0.5 oz (14 g) Cascade hops (dry hop)

    • American Ale yeast

    Directions

    Mash at 151° F (suggested: 1 tsp. CaSO4). Ferment with your favorite American Ale strain at its suggested temperature. Dry hop at high krausen. Carbonate to 2.5 volumes CO2. Compare the the real thing!
