Discussion

No provision, exception or license exists for the home manufacture of beer in Kentucky. However, the Commonwealth of Kentucky defaults to federal statutes § 25.205 and § 25.206 on homebrewing. According to Kentucky Alcohol Beverage Control, homemade beer cannot be gifted or shared. Possession of homemade beer in a business not licensed to serve alcohol is illegal, however, homemade beer can be brought into a business licensed to serve alcohol, though solely for purposes of evaluation in a homebrew competition.
