My name is David Schumacher and I love Homebrewing. I’ve been brewing for over 7 years. I enjoy the creative process of brewing trying new things as well as trying to recreate specific beer styles. My favorite thing about Homebrewing is all the people I’ve met and interacted with. The homebrew community is great and that is why I would like to be part of the Governing Committee. I truly care about our hobby and want to make sure that hobby continues to grow.
I’ve been heavily involved with the homebrew community in the Kansas City area. I am a founding member of the Missouri Mashers, a homebrew club in the KC Northland area. I have served as the Club’s President, Competition Organizer, and help guide the education presentations. I’m involved with promoting the KC Nanobrew Festival one of the biggest homebrew beer festivals in the country. I also enjoy interacting with the other clubs in Kansas City area: Kansas City Bier Meisters, ZZ Hops, and Johnson County Brewing Society.
As a committee member my goal would be to work on bringing new people to our hobby and to help make better brewers through education, collaborations, and competitions.
