My name is Tyler Miller, a Human Resource technology professional by day and a devoted homebrewer at night (or whenever possible for that matter). I evolved from a craft beer enthusiast to an all grain brewer in 2013 after catching the brewing bug while touring Stone Brewing in Escondido, CA. The combination of fun, science and experimentation in homebrewing immediately captivated me. I am a graduate of the Brewing and Beer Steward Technology program at Dakota County Technical College and have over a year of cellarman experience at two local breweries. My favorite style to brew is Mild, which I was lucky enough to be awarded an NHC medal for in 2017. I am a BJCP certified judge, and I am working towards becoming a national judge. Currently, I work part-time at a homebrew shop in Minneapolis where I enjoy sharing my experience and educating new brewers about the hobby of homebrewing.
I would like the opportunity to help serve on the governing committee and represent all AHA members. My focus will be to enhance the governing committees’ communication to its members by crafting consistent and relevant announcements about initiatives of the committee. I believe that open communication from the governing committee to its members will create an inclusive environment and increase member participation.
