2022 Dates & Deadlines

Please reference these important Dates & Deadlines as the competition progresses. If you still have questions, check out our FAQ Page for more information.

Through March 20

Update AHA Account

Members should make sure their contact information and address are up to date on their member record prior to filling out the application and registration, and they must be actively subscribed to NHC emails. Subscribe to NHC emails or update your account settings in your profile on You may change your address in the open-enrollment application, too.

March 22 (10 a.m MST) to April 1 (3 p.m. MST)

Competition & Beer Registration

The enrollment deadline has been extended to April 1. AHA Members are emailed a username (email address) and password to enroll in the competition, request the amount of beers they’d like to enter and pay for their entries. Please review the confirmation email to ensure all information is accurate. You may edit this application until the window closes. You must pay for your entries during this time. Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the competition and lower priority in future years. *The registration period may close earlier than April 1/transition to a waitlist if we exceed demand for competition entries

By April 18

Refund Period

Entrants may request refunds if there are extenuating and extreme circumstances that prevent you from shipping your entries. This is done on a case-by-case basis.

Judge & Steward Sign-up

Judges, stewards, and table captains are welcomed to the competition on an invitation basis. If interested in judging, stewarding, or table captaining, please email John Moorhead ( for more information.

Through May 16

Entry Edits

Only available after payment. Log in to the competition website to update/edit your entries. Make sure to reprint Entry Labels to attach to your entries if you edit any of them prior to shipping or dropping off. Organizers will use the information on the Entry Label received only. After registration, category limits are put in place to build out the competition. As a category fills, it will not accept more entries once the limit is reached. This needs to be done so we can accommodate the judging needs. Specialty information is editable until the shipping window.

Competition Shipping Window

Competition beers due to competition shipping location. Find the shipping or drop-off location in the Rules & Regulations.

May 31 to June 8
(Warehouse open for Deliveries Mon – Fri, 9am – 4pm. Closed Sat-Sun & Memorial Day)

Competition Sorting & Reconciliation

Competition entry check-in and sorting. Any bottle or entry issues resolved with entrants.

June 21 to 23

Competition Judging

Competition judging for all entries. Check the Status Table for more information.

June 23 to June 25

Competition Results Verification

Competition team verifies all results for Award Ceremony.

Awards Ceremony

NHC Awards Ceremony live stream from Homebrew Con starts at 2:00 p.m. MT. The complete winners’ list will be posted after the Awards Ceremony concludes.

By July 22

Competition Scoresheets, Letters and Prizes

All entrants’ scoresheets emailed after Award Ceremony. Post-Competition Packages are delivered to your Brewer Profiles. All prizes and medals mailed out. Please allow up to 14 business days for your prize package to arrive.
