Access 40th Anniversary Great American Beer Festival Presale

Forty years ago in 1982, the first Great American Beer Festival was held at the Harvest House Hotel in Boulder. There were 24 breweries, 47 beers, and 800 attendees.

Since the festival moved to Denver in 1984, first to various locations including Currigan Hall and the Merchandise Mart, then to its current location, the Colorado Convention Center in 2000, attendance by beer lovers and brewers has grown exponentially. The last in-person festival prior to the pandemic hosted an all-time high of 60,000 attendees and more than 800 breweries from all 50 states.

For GABF’s 40th birthday in 2022, the Colorado Convention Center is under construction so the festival footprint will be two-thirds the size of the last public festival in 2019, coming in at a still whopping six football fields, or approximately 350,000 sq feet! With limited space, tickets are also limited with an anticipated 40,000 beer lovers on hand to celebrate. Great American Beer Festival is going to be the hot ticket in the beer world this fall!

As a benefit of membership, American Homebrewers Association members have first access to all* festival and PAIRED tickets during the member presale on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. In addition, AHA members have exclusive access to the Saturday afternoon, member-only session where you can be among the first to taste some GABF-medal-winning beers- just announced at the awards ceremony Saturday morning!

So, what are you waiting for? Renew or join the AHA by June 28, 2022 and join the birthday celebration. It’s guaranteed to be a once-in-40-years’ experience!
