Idaho Homebrew Bill Passes Committee

House Bill 502 (H502) would remove the requirement for “native grown product” in the production of homebrewing beer. The term “native” is not defined as applied to homebrewing, and homebrewers would like to continue to produce beers for personal consumption that may use products grown out of state.

Status of Bill

H502 has passed the Idaho State Affairs Committee with a Do Pass recommendation and filed for a second reading on the House floor. We need the Idaho House of Representatives to pass the bill.
