AHA Rally FAQ

Q: What is an AHA Rally? What happens during the event?

A: As a benefit of AHA membership, the American Homebrewers Association hosts a series of AHA Rallies across the country, giving homebrewers the chance to connect with commercial craft brewers as well as other beer enthusiasts and homebrewers in their area. AHA Rallies typically are held on weekends and the fun usually goes for two-three hours.

During a Rally, members can expect to enjoy free beer samples compliments of the host brewery, along with in-depth tours of the facility, often led by a head brewer and/or owner. Attendees also get the chance to win prizes and take home gifts from the AHA and the host brewery. Each Rally is different, and many also feature homebrew competitions and tastings, wort giveaways, the opportunity to make a beer with the brewery, educational seminars and more.

Q: Can I bring my spouse and/or significant other?

A: As member-exclusive events, AHA Rallies are open only to current members. However, we recognize that many members would like to bring guests to these awesome events. Active AHA members may consider upgrading their membership to add Household Affiliates. Each Household Affiliate upgrade adds $30 to your membership dues. Household Affiliates enjoy the same benefits of full AHA members, including their own AHA membership card which gives them free entry to any AHA Rally, access to some 1,000 AHA Member Deals at breweries, homebrew supply shops and other locations across the country, and more. One printed copy of Zymurgy is sent to the shipping address on the main AHA membership, though all Household Affiliate members enjoy access to eZymurgy and Zymurgy apps.
