Have you been to NHC before?  Seems like 90+% of the men have facial hair.  I think it has to do with brewing in general.

I see what you mean, although I would guess it's closer to 75%

Hey, I'm in that photo!  I'm the guy with the mustache!
I recognize a bunch of people in that picture, including the guy who is 7' tall (behind yellow shirt) and you Jeff, and Ken and Karin of course. :)

75% of the people in the photo have facial hair.  The others are guests and don't brew.   :D

Hey now. I'm not pro yet, but I shave every (other) day, with one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTIQUE-J-A-HENCKELS-ZWILLINGSWERK-STRAIGHT-RAZOR-/180132290465 - it belonged to my grandfather
and one of these:

and one of these:

It's nice to have a bit of ritual to the morning, I think.

Given my general state of wakefulness (or lack thereof) every morning at 5:30 I would almost definitely slash my throat with one of those.

Well, in Germany the tradition is for men to shave in the evenings after work, for their wives.

Hey that's what I do! when I shave that is (once every couple weeks) at night before bed

When I used to ride my motorcycle to work I would shave in the evenings.  Wind on my freshly shaven face was more than my skin could stand.  I've had a moustache since I left the employ of the Walt Disney Company in 1976.

Just shaved most of my beard off and left a Van Dyke. Guess it was a little scary, but the little kids seemed to like it. Maybe they thought I was grandpa or something with all that gray in it. :)

I agree, that's why I stopped a little over a month ago.

I hate shaving. I also hate hair cuts. I also hate having an itchy beard and long hair.

Sounds like the perfect solution would be just to get it all lasered off.  ;D

The unwritten rule is that during an argument between two brewers, the brewer with the biggest beard wins.
