...the first things you unpack after selling your house and moving are a flask, stirplate, and starsan.  To hell with the clothes, who needs pants anyways!?!  8)

When you buy a new house and your first thought is, "This is a great time to upgrade the brewery too..."

So your housewarming present to yourself is a Sabco.  :o

You know you're into homebrewing when you think homebrew makes a great Christmas gift.

When you go house shopping the first thing you look for in a new home is where the brewery will go.

The real estate agent my wife and I used is our club president. My new house has a garage to brew in temporarily, space for a shed (Brewery/bar) and a barrel aging room in the basement. Gotta plan for the beer.

I'm new to these forums (although I read them regularly), but couldn't help but chime in here.  I do that to such an extent that my wife mentions the potential for a brew room before I do......

I've definitely noticed this going on:

When every friend, relative or mere acquaintance you are with says to the bartender before you order your first beer - "He makes his own beer, so don't ask him about the beer and don't expect him to order without asking at least 5 questions about your beer"

Always, they funny thing is, after tasting the beer, you know more about it than the server most of the time. :-\

No kidding. I love it when the server describes (for example) any stout that they brew as "kind of like Guinness".  I don't find sweet, export, American, RIS as remotely like an Irish stout. Just semantics I guess ;)  .
