Section 2, Starting Points:  Remove the word "do" from first sentence.

Otherwise it does a good job of covering all the intricacies of the switch and dealing with old and new test formats.  Nice work!

I'm waiting for my last exam results which won't be available for a few more months, so I don't know yet just where I'll fall in this scheme.  I read through the whole thing just to see what my options were going to be.

Is there any way for people that already passed the old exam to have a chance to take the online exam for free?  I wouldn't mind taking it so I can tell people in my club how it is.

Nope, $10. The exam will not be the same twice so it probably would not be worth the time to take it since prospective entrants can take a free 20 question sample exam off the new exam site.

I haven't read through the entire thing yet, but if you take the exam and score poorly, and then you want to take it again, is your second score an average of the two or do they take your highest score?

Edit: Never mind, read through quickly and I see it's pass/fail.

So you have to take the tasting exam within a year of passing the online test to have it count.  When will these be offered?  I see the same list of exam dates on the bjcp site... are these all for the tasting exam now?  Will more be offered soon, since it seems like most of them had already filled up.

Since I'm Certified, it looks like I can't take the online exam.  I'll have to take the Judging exam (6 beers in 90 minutes) and score above 80 to be able to take the written exam (at a later date).  I have >10 judging points.

If you already had an 80+ on the tasting part of the old exam you'd only need to take the new written exam.

As far as 1 year, yes, the rule is 1 year from the time of taking the web-based exam to take the taste. I am sure if no taste is located within a reasonable distance of your location that may be extended. FWIW - I would believe for most of the country a reasonable distance would be within about 250 miles.
