Gotta make them yourself. Cheap wings are loaded with fat. Roast yourself a free-range bird once a week, clip the wings before cooking and put 'em in a bag in the freezer. After a few weeks you'll have enough for a craving-killer.

FWIW I buy confit duck wings, deep fry them, and then coat 'em in sauce. Or at least I did once.

Pretty funny commercial, but what's truly hilarious is the nutritional content of a 12 piece order of "traditional" BWW wings:

2,860 mg sodium. Built to make you buy more beer.  Wonder what the sodium content of bratwurst beer would be?

I smoke my chicken wings for about 2-3 hours, dunk them in my jerked hot sauce (jerk spices in a butter and hot sauce blend) and then grill them hot for a couple minutes and melt blue cheese on them, then slather them in more jerked hot sauce. And they are awesome.

Re: Buffalo Wild Wings commercial. This is so two weeks ago. We already covered this. I'm too lazy to go back and look it up.

If it's even a jab at homebrewers, it's a pretty light-hearted one.  Personally, I think it's kind of a testament to the growing popularity of homebrewing that a restaurant like BWW is trying to paint it in a negative (and humorous) light.  If people are brewing great beer at home, it's really not that hard to make great wings at home.  What reason do you have to go to BWW then???

Who are we kidding? To the vast majority of beer drinkers - those who buy their beer in 30-packs - we put an insane amount of effort and have a crazy number of gadgets dedicated to making beer.  Ever show someone with no brewing knowledge an immersion chiller? Might as well own a Paula Deen Meth Lab.

Edit: And for those who want minimally flavored beer with minimal effort, whipping out your best pumpkin beer does little to change their mind.

The only Brewing Network shows I can handle are the ones where they have really good guests who do all the talking. I don't really want to listen to an hour of dick jokes to get maybe a few good tips on brewing.

Ugh, same. I can barely listen to the BN anymore, I feel like it's 85% dick jokes, 10% beer and 5% brewing tips. Not really a ratio I can subject myself to...

But reading this thread has got me wanting wings... now to find a good recipe!

I'm just happy to know that I am not the only one that can't stand The Brewing Network.  I tried to listen to one episode a while back and couldn't get past the belches and immature humor. 

I guess I am just too old...  Now get off my lawn!

I haven't listened in a few years but there were a few shows back in the day that were well worth wading through the silliness for. And I met Justin and JP at NHC and they were super cool, very personable guys.

I, too, found it to be a little too juvenile. There's a difference, in my mind, between being SERIOUS BUSINESS (as in, calm down Francis) and enjoying a nice discourse about a hobby. I am not a fan of the BN generalization that we are all ex-frat boys who can't help but think about boobs and beer all the time.

I still have yet to got to a BWW...not that I don't like wings because I enjoy Buffalo wings when their prepared properly.  I also like to smoke them.

The commercial is a bit corny...  but I really need to try BWW sometime soon.
