Which regulator?

I use one I got at the Home Fermenter Center here in Eugene.  I have no idea what brand it is, but it's worked flawlessly and survived my abuse for nearly 15 years.

Does manufacturer make a difference?

I have one I bought at NFC Gas here in Chicago and one I bought off of eBay (I'm pretty sure it was used, but I don't recall for sure).

They both seem to work just fine.  Pretty much the same basic construction.

FWIW, I don't think you really need the high pressure gauge.  I have one with and one without.

Good point.  I stand corrected.

I would say I have the benefit of three tanks, but what I recently realized is that I go through them so slowly (I have a 15 and a 20 lb) that by the time they're empty they need to be recertified (except for the 5lb), so it costs more.  On the positive side, they swapped out the steel 20 for an aluminum, since that was all they had.

One triple gauge and one double gauge and they've worked great.

I could go look at brand names, but I've never bothered to check them at all.  They all seem to work fine.

If you standardize on one manufacturer, it's easier keeping any repair parts on hand like rebuild kits.

Looks like buying online saves me like 50 bucks. Checked locally and some taprites are 100+ for duals. O well, ill keep shopping!

I think I got my eBay regulator for around $35.  6 years or so later, it works just fine.
