It strikes me as odd that the BJCP guidelines single out the La Trappe Quad as not fitting the BDS style, but then listing Westie XII as the top example of the category. If I were entering a Quad into a competition, I would enter it as a BDS. I'm no judge, but every quad I've ever had matches the BJCP description of a BDS pretty well.

16E hints that some of these, such as Quad, could be in their own style some day. Maybe it's time?
