I have that Sam glass! That stout looks awesome. If it wasn't so warm here I'd be all over something like that right now.

Those Sam glasses are my favorite all time pint glasses. And that stout is totally drinkable and chocolatey, even on a warm-ish night !

Teens??? Where are you?

Colorado, at 10,000 ft. We've had some snow the past few days, but it was getting above freezing until yesterday.

Sean, that APA looks very tasty. Ouch on the teens, though.  :o

I definitely wish I had one on right now.

I'll be in Indy for Thanksgiving week/weekend, by the way. Could return your refilled Grolsch bottles. ;)

Sounds like a winner. I'd be happy to give you a couple bombers in return !

Mental thing with those beers = cold fall/ winter night. I usually realize that when I'm enjoying one mid summer.

Just had a hefeweizen and next will have a dance with her dark-haired sister, a dunkleweizen. In Western Massachusetts, we've had summer-like weather today--so a chance to return to the summer beers. But with the more typical November temps due this weekend, I'll be back to an amber ale and porter by tomorrow.

Brew and grow...

Bottled: Belgian May Ale, APA, Wit, Pilsner, Rye Pale Ale, Pale Irish Ale, Dark Mild, Brown Porter, English Pale Ale, Amber Ale

Split a bomber of my wild black raspberry saison. The fruit brought something with it in secondary. The smell is wonderful; with light carbonation (only 2 weeks in the bottle). Not sure that I'm digging the back end of the taste though. Can't put my finger on it, it's just off. The plan now is to leave for another couple months and check it out again. Good thing I have other choices in the fridge. Think it's time for an Ofest myself Ken

Finally trying the new Ruination. Not bad at all for a commercial DIPA. I like it much better than the new Pale Ale.

Pete,

What's that???
Its the new Spencer Abbey Holiday Ale! It came out yesterday. I know its not being sold outside of Massachusetts but hopefully its distributed widely enough to find at a store near you. Its fantastic. I'll post more in the commercial beer review thread.

Well, coffee at the moment.  But last night I put a new keg on tap... a Citra & Amarillo pale ale.  SRM 7-8, 2-row, some wheat, some C40.  Nugget to bitter, Amarillo & Citra at 10 minutes, in the whirlpool and then more for dry hopping, 1056.  It's a beer that my wife likes me to make and this particular batch came out very nice and I also mentioned this one in a "should I gel a dry-hopped beer?" thread in the general category... it came out very nice and it's got great clarity too.  Cheers.

A day without beer is like... just kidding, I have no idea.
