Raising Temperature on a Fresh Keg
« on: April 19, 2017, 08:36:20 pm »
Hey all,

2 days ago I kegged a German Pilsner and it has been carbonating since at 38 F. Tomorrow I am planning on brewing again and need to ferment at 62 F. I only have one fermenter/kegerator (best solution would be to get two! Sadly not an option just yet...). If I raise the temperature of the kegerator to accommodate the fermentation for a week or two, is this going to do any damage to my Pils? Will the carbonation be impacted due to the higher temperature, even though it is forced carb? Appreciate any help!

Not ideal, but harm will be minimal. You will need to increase the gas pressure if you are still carbonating.

Thanks for the response! I'll be giving it a try today and post back here in a few weeks with any findings for anyone else facing this issue.
