Carrying NZ hop pellets into the USA?
« on: November 24, 2018, 02:00:21 pm »
Sorry if this is an obvious question I’ve looked all over the US customs pages and come up blank.

Can anyone tell me if I am allowed to bring small quantities of New Zealand (sealed) hop pellets into the US when I return from holiday? They’ve got some lovely varieties down here that I’d like to bring home with me.  But, I don’t wanna buy them only to hand them over to the customs inspector. Any information much appreciated!

Friends from NZ visited me last summer and brought along a lb. of pellets.  I don't think the had to smuggle them.  But you be best off asking customs people, not homebrewers.
