DIY Glycol chiller question
« on: September 26, 2020, 09:53:14 am »
Hello,

I have completed assembly of a DIY glycol chiller made with a widow A/C unit and a cooler.  My question is in regards to cleaning condensor coil.  It is a used unit and has some dust and stuff in the coils.  Just curious what methods people have used to get them clean before adding glycol to the reservoir.

Thanks.

I used compressed air and a shop vac.  On another note, I found using an aquarium pump to circulate the fluid around/over the coils prevents the coils from freezing up, the supply and return to the cooling coil wasn't enough.
