I changed the look and feel and now I see avatars, but there is no way for me to add one to my profile. There is a single selection button for "No Avatar" and that is it.

I guess you can go back to the old theme, add your avatar and make sure it's a part of your profile and then change the theme back.  UH, EXCUSE ME DENNY!  CAN WE GET A NEW FORUM?!  THIS ONE HAS HAD IT!  :D

I wish I could tell you how long I've been asking the AHA for that.  5+ years ago I was told it was a top priority.

But, but, but...  The 90's throw back feel is so comfortable to us in the "Get off my lawn" generation.   ;D

The avatars have been gone me for quite awhile but I can't stand the other theme.  It feels like I'm on a car gurus site being ridiculed for just wanting to find the right exhaust manifold seal and not wanting to spend $4k for a 40hp upgrade in power.  I admit that could be a "me only" issue though.  ::)

Ah, I had been wondering about that for awhile.  Just made the change, avatars are back again.

I strongly encourage everyone to make the format change/update, so that whenever I post or reply, all of you will once again see The Most Handsome Dog Who Ever Lived.  (TMHDWEL)

You're welcome.   8)

I thought we had the best looking dog ever.
This is a pic when he was a younger pup, he made it o 14 years 7 months.
We had him since 10 weeks old.
Made the horrible decision to put him to sleep last week.
Sadness like I've never known.

I also do not see avatars in the forum. It appears to be a forum theme issue with the "Homebrewers Association 2019" default theme. If you switch to the SMF Default Curve then avatars appear correctly.

Great advise!  I got the avatars back!  The page looks great!

Thanks!

I am not seeing where this can be changed. I looked at all of the Profile settings and don't see the option to change the theme.

Yes, cheers and thanks to all for the help.  I agree that once you get used to it this theme looks good.  You don't realize how important the avatars are until you don't see them.

@Fire_Rooster:  I'm sorry about the dog.  I have put down exactly TWO dogs over the past 17 years.  Having worked at home for 30+ years I was always home with the dogs and so my wife always said they were my dogs.  When the day comes (and you generally know when that day comes) I do not accept it well.  Just typing this is making me squishy because I'm thinking about those dogs (a German Shepherd and a Jack Russell) and how they behaved, how they grew up with my kids, etc.  I cry for days afterwards.  Pets are family and their impact on us is bigger than we think.  Vibes to you.

@jeffy:  Thanks for posting that video.  I had seen it before but it's still hilarious.
