Blowtie Valve Disassembly
« on: March 25, 2023, 09:24:33 am »
I accidentally got a little beer foam into a Blowtie spunding valve, so I took it apart to see if I could clean it out.  Turns out, it's not a problem - very simple mechanism.

I'm not sure how bad it would be if any liquid got into the gauge though (it didn't happen to me).

I have the kind without the gauge and I agree - super easy to disassemble, clean and put back together.  I either put a gauge inline for setting psi for spunding or I preset with a known psi level applied to the valve.  Cheers.
