German Hops Under Solar Panels
« on: July 22, 2023, 06:17:23 am »
Germany has been experiencing unusually hot and dry summers. The hops have suffered some years. At least one farmer has his fields under a solar array. From the picture you can see the array spacing is wide. Hop farms in Germany are typically around 30 acres, so the guy has an average sized farm there. Having traveled often trough Bavaria I found this interesting.
