Great Forum !
« on: November 04, 2009, 07:07:33 am »
Hi...

I'm a newbie still very thirsty for knowledge.  I'm a lifetime winedrinker and winemaker that got "bit" by this beer brewing bug about 6 months ago. Now I have made 13 all-grain batches and having a great time. I just joined AHA a few days ago.

I've already seen some familar posters that have helped me quite a bit in other forums.

I learned so much on forums and this looks like it will be a great one!!!!

Thanks...

Roger

Congratulation, Denny!  I see many familiar names here, as well as some new ones.

Some people may recognize my name from another longtime discussion board.  My heart remains there, but I'll try to check in here now and then.  It's going to take a while to learn to navigate the site.

It's great to see this forum, but now I have one more site to squander precious office time on.

No problem, I hate work.
Will this replace Tech Talk, or will it stay the same?

I believe the plan is that this will eventually replace Tech Talk.  Maybe Gary can jump in and speak to that.

I love Tech Talk, but the turnaround on here is so much quicker...so I could totally see it replacing it.

And thank you for setting the RSS Feed correctly so the posts come through.  It's much easier to read the posts from my Outlook account and then reply to the ones I'm interested in.

i certainly hope that this does replace techtalk. certainly more efficient in terms of time spent since you can customize what you follow and what you don't.

I agree with that. I was always reluctant to post something on Tech Talk because I wasn't sure if I would get any responses or I would probably lose it in my email somewhere. I like the forum idea.

We have this simple machines engine on my mountainbiking and honda CRV forums.  I really like it.

I have already learned a couple new things from everyone.

This is awesome!
