Looks like a very nice brewpub to have in town.  Next time we get over to KC we'll have to make the journey on over to Topeka.  Maybe stop in Lawrence for a Free State brew as well.

Have you been to the Beer Kitchen in KC? They have a pretty unique selection of beer, and their food was solid. They're one of the maybe ten restaurants or so I've eaten in that I couldn't find any fault with any aspect of the experience, and I'm good at being unreasonably hypercritical.

I actually like 23rd St Brewery better than Free State in Lawrence. They have the best Red Ale I have ever tried. it is called Crimson Fog.

That's a great maibock.  Probably my second favorite beer in the state behind the Lb. No. 6 Oatmeal Stout.  I need to get back up there ASAP.  So many beers, so little time.

cheers--
