I am a bit partial to the space bar

I have been hearing "metric ton" a lot lately
which makes about as much sense as "metric buttload"

but because to me n=number of samples
a nton of amarillo is a fantastic amount!

Local brew pub is doing an event at the end of June where the brewer gave out the recipe for an IPA and is asking people in our club to brew it and bring some in for a big group comparison.  I'll be making that this weekend.

Strictly a consumption based weekend here - I'm taking my son and his college buddy up to Northern WI for the weekend to fish.  It looks like rain, so I hope I have enough homebrew to take with me!  May have to pull a few more growlers....

I've got an 18+ hour day on Mem. Day doing a Jack White show.  May brew today, maybe later next week.  I've got an APA grist ground and I'll dig through the hop freezer and try to use up a bunch.

I don't understand it, why would you spend that much time getting a show set up?  Are you building the stage too? Are you setting up all their gear? Loading and unloading all their gear?

Load in for the PA starts at 8 AM.  Band gear comes at 10 AM.  Lighting will run from 8 AM til late afternoon.  Sound check and rehearsal will be from early afternoon til maybe 4-5 PM.  Dinner, then a 3 hour show starting at 8.  Loadout from 11P-2A.  Pretty typical schedule for a big rock show.

I saw Roger Waters last night - how long do you think it took them to set that up?  I guess you only have one day because of other events, so if it takes too long you need to hire more people.  That's a crazy long day Denny, I don't envy that at all.

I took an extra day to turn this into a four-day weekend (I had stopped accruing vacation for several pay periods -- that's not good!) and Day 4 will probably include a Belgian Blonde pitched on WLP500 slurry saved from a Belgian Pale Ale bottled last week. Still mulling over recipes, but am leaning toward Sully's Belgian Blonde, http://wiki.homebrewersassociation.org/SullysBelgianBlonde .

I haven't heard anything about the Waters tour...it could take anywhere from a day to 2-3 days.  They may have 2 sets leapfrogging around.  That's not too uncommon.  When we did Wicked a year ago, it was a 3 day load in with 18 semis.  Believe it or not, an 18 hour day is considered normal in this biz.  I can't wait to retire!
