What will they think of next?

The funny thing is, a 6er of Boulevard is cheaper, for me, than a 6er of Budweiser in bottles. Schlafly, too, can be bought for <$1/bottle, and the macro brands cost around $7-8 per 6er. The cases of cans dip a bit under $1/beer, but "craft" beer isn't all that much more expensive anymore.

Yeah, I'm lucky to have a liquor store near me that sells 12-packs of SNPA for $13.99 (its usually $16.99 in my area). I'll pickup a 12 of SNPA then 1 or 2 sixes of something I've never tried before which usually runs $8.99-10.99.

I met the guy who was developing this product at NHC in San Francisco (he was on the Iron Liver tour with us).  Seems like a crazy idea.  I think he was initially talking about it as a way of making diet craft beer since you can turn Bud Light into SNPA or Celebration.  If it taste alright I can see this product doing really well oversees like at a PX on a military base or in countries where craft brew does not have a lot of space in the supermarket.  But there really is no need for a product like this if you can get $6 six packs of BLVD or Schafly!

My first thought was why bother. Certainly at home we can just buy craft.  But at the gazillion corporate functions I attend with only BMC and Amstel available, maybe a few drops of this could be handy...

I wonder if the cost of big training conventions that some organizations hold could be reduced by this product? A 40 of Steel Reserve with a few drops in it has to be cheaper than bombers of chimay

OK... I'm taking one for the team. Just ordered the "Pale Ale" one ($7.56 = 4.99 + 2.57 for first class mail shipping). I'll report back once I get to taste test.

Sounds disgusting.  Might as well just drop one of these in your beer...

That is great! A few of us like to prank each other by changing the backgrounds on someone's PC when they step away from their desk. I will definitely be using this one.

I like the idea- for those times when good beer ain't available. Besides, what homebrewer hasn't tried adding hops or crystal malt to a Coors light?
...I wonder if I could make my own....

It says it doesn't add calories, so it can't be malt syrup. I don't see an ingredient list anywhere, but my money is on caramel color and (hopefully) some hop oil/extract.

*raises hand*

I have never tried adding hops or crystal malt to Coors light or any other macro beer.  And what makes you think that using the extract could produce a "good beer""?
