Late 1800's early 1900's? Sandblasted and plated bottle cappers

I haven't been happy with the new bottle cappers we've gotten. I'm a car guy and like things over-engineered if anything, plastic and tin bottle cappers aren't cutting it for me. So I did some digging and was able to buy two identical old bottle cappers that are so well built I could probably also use to jack up my truck. I don't know when they were made, if anyone has any more info on them that'd be really cool?

Here's some photos of how I got them. I've already taken them to the sandblaster down the street from my office, so they look much better now. I dropped them off at the metal plater on Friday. They plate in a bunch of different metals, he suggested going with zinc, and I hope to have them back later this week  :D

Not a bad office space, ha. I've actually been trying to advertise with the AHA, although it's not been the easiest to work out.

Capper 1 on ebay = $18 + 12 shipping
Capper 2 on ebay = $15 + 11 shipping
= $56

Sandblasting the pair = $25 http://www.astroblast1.com
Plating the pair in zinc = $75 http://www.belmontplatingworks.com

Two cappers that have already outlived me probably three times $156 / 2 = $78 each

What is your wall system?

Also, where did you get the diamond plate? I need a really big piece (22" x 71"). I found it online but the shipping was WAY too expensive.

You should look for a local metal supplier.  They will charge more upfront but can include your piece in a bigger order and balance out the freight costs.  For me, at least, that usually makes more sense on really big and/or heavy stuff.

Diamond plate that long isn't really an option because of this shipping, it'd have to go truck freight over 48". You'd be better off splitting it into smaller pieces. What are you trying to do? These look really cool -
