Knocked a couple things off the wall and pretty much scotched the idea of sleep anytime soon.

It's La Nina this year.  "El Nino is spanish for The Nino!"

Yeah, but normally they're also not quite that close in to the city. Sharp and just long enough to make you wonder.. huh, is this going to keep going?

I grew up in Pasadena, just north of Washington Ave.  I remember as a kid actually sort of enjoying the earthquakes (young and stupid).  Moving to the midwest when I was 7, I then adopted a much more severe fear of tornadoes.  Somehow the advance warning made them a bit scarier.  Sort of like zombies...if zombies just snuck up on you and struck they wouldn't be as scary, but when they move slowly and relentlessly towards you the fear builds.  I hated tornado season as a kid.

I could shoot at zombies, though, or perhaps use a chainsaw to stop them from eating my delicious brain.  Shooting a tornado ain't gonna do a damn thing.  What would be really scary is a tornado made entirely of zombies.

Ha!  That reminds me of that Deep Thoughts with the most dangerous animal being a shark, riding a tiger, riding an elephant trampling and eating everything in sight

The Zombado!  Except its slightly self-defeating, in that the strength of the tornado vs zombies is that zombies are susceptible to gunfire/chainsaws whereas tornadic activity is not.  In comprising a tornado of these undead minions you strip the tornado of its invincibility, theoretically speaking, at the same time that you strip the zombies of their spooky slow walk.

Not saying I wouldn't fear a Zombado, but just saying that the whole is in fact less than the sum of its parts IMHO...I would respect dissenting opinions on that of course, it goes without saying.  Undead meterology is more an art than a science and differences of opinion can exist respectfully within the community.
