That shot can be a little misleading because you're looking west and most of Leadville is on the east slope of the valley. There are actually a half-dozen blocks of development in that direction before the town peters out, and we're pretty well hemmed in by pine and aspen. The tree line around here is at about 12,000', whereas the brewery sits at a paltry 10,150' (give or take, and you better believe I'm getting that surveyed).
And yes, it is a "fixer-upper".
It's also the only building in town with >12 ft ceilings built after 1950, so we really lucked out with it coming on the market when it did.
The walkthrough with the architect is tomorrow, so we could conceivably be pouring concrete in early October. Things happen fast once you start pulling triggers!
