Hi everyone,
A registration for Mead Day sites and another registration for Learn to Homebrew Day sites has been set up under the Events board. For each event, there is a Read First board that has a message about how to use the registration. This has primarily been set up to provide a way to announce your site location to others looking for an event in their area, and it is also a great way to find a location near you.
Mead Day is this Saturday, August 7th, and the registration may be too late to do much good, but it is there. The Mead Day recipe is posted on the AHA Homebrewopedia. (
http://wiki.homebrewersassociation.org/AHAMeadDay) This year, the recipe has 5 different types of fruit from which you can choose to make a melomel (fruit) mead. Get some honey from the local farmers market and make some mead this weekend! Go to
http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/events/mead-day for more information about Mead Day.
Learn to Homebrew Day is the first Saturday in November, November 6th this year. There is no set recipe to go along with Learn to Homebrew Day, but I encourage everyone to take advantage of all of the recipes to be found on the AHA's Homebrewopedia (
http://wiki.homebrewersassociation.org/Recipes). Go to
http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/events/learn-to-homebrew-day for more information about Learn to Homebrew Day.
Cheers,
