Covid Check In
« on: July 09, 2020, 06:18:37 am »
People come and go on this forum, but right now when voices go silent I wonder if their okay.

Who haven’t we heard from in a while?

Robert?
Hoosierbrew?
Flbrewer?
S. cerevisiae?

Check in and let us know you and your family are okay.

A lot of the above are members from a few years ago, but great guys.

Who else is missing?

I believe Robert and Hoosierbrew went to the Low Disolved Oxygen group.  I don’t know if they’re active there or not. I discovered my access to that forum was suspended when I attempted logon just now to see.

S. Cer. posted here a week or so ago.  That was good to see.

Not sure about others.

Good question.  I'm sure part of it is summer being more busy, lazy.  And forums in general are so much less active these days than say 5-10 years ago.  But I wonder about a lot of folks as well who used to be on here much more frequently.  Hope everyone is happy and healthy.  Things are okay here in my neck of the lakeshore, lots of cases but zero deaths in the last several months.  To date I still don't know anyone / have any friends or family I know who have contracted the virus, zero.  But I'm wise enough to know it's coming, and soon.

Yeah Hoosier has been gone for a long time now. I was disappointed when he left. He was always very helpful to me. Robert is the only one I can recall seeing withing the past few months.

Hey Guys,

Been awhile. Still alive and brewing.  As mentioned by Bama, I've been spending forum time on lowoxygenbrewing.com .
After things got pretty divided over the topic (and since I learned that I preferred to brew in this fashion) it seemed a no-brainer to go there.
Regardless, cheers to all and stay healthy!                            Jon

I log in on the LOB forum and this one on a regular basis but don't post much on either forum. Both Robert and Hoosier Brewer active on the LOB forum.
Recently, someone on this forum re-activated a two year old thread and, on a whim, I decided to read from the beginning.
There were a lot of names on the thread that I've haven't seen in a long time. Some of the names had a lot of posts on their record.
Seems people come and go, mostly go.

Definitely people come and go. I just wonder about some of them from time to time.

I miss Tom Schmidlin's posts, but he went pro and doesn't check in.  Amanda was fun, too.

Hey guys, heard over on LOB you were asking.  Thanks for showing the concern.  I haven't got COVID yet, and until I go down, I'm brewing more enthustically and successfully than ever.  Hope everyone here is staying safe and healthy, too.

Ha! You were missed. I am too old to remember all the names at one sitting.
