I'm three miles from the Pacific Ocean and the weather is awesome. On our balcony grilling a tri tip and bell peppers enjoying a SNPA.

Still need to decide on a new handle as I am no longer in Texas.

You folks in more temperate areas would love Iowa this week.

Monday: high of 5
Tuesday: high of 12
Wednesday: High of 36
Thursday: high of 46
Friday:  high of 26
Saturday: high of 10
Sunday: high of 1

Nothing like a consistent temp so you can get used to it.   ;D

The worst part of it is that on Sunday I have to help move the high school band's equipment to a hotel conference center for their big concert/fund raiser and back.  Always seems like the coldest day of the year when we do this.  If tradition holds there will be a 20MPH wind too.  I just keep telling myself "3 more years, only 3 more years".

Oh well, I'm brewing on Monday and it's supposed to get up to 12.  It'll be a heat wave!  ;D

We got slammed a couple days ago...a whole 2.5 inches of snow  ::)  That brings our total up to about 6.5 inches for the winter...how can people live like this?  ;D

Such an odd winter for New England.

I drove down to Boston to pick a friend up at the airport and we drove back in that 'storm' there were certainly moments that were a touch dicey but yeah, no what I would call a normal New England winter so far.

My guest grew up in Californian and had never really been in a snow storm before so for her it was impressive.

One of my favorite aspects of living in LA is during the winter when I can work down at my office near the ocean and look back east and see towering peaks covered with snow that I could be in after a "short" drive.
From my home office I can't see snow tops, but I do see plenty of palm trees and the tips of Santa Cruz Island in the distance.

This has been the freakiest winter season yet. I never stopped- just slowed cutting the grass. Once February rolled around we started having 80* days and I've been running the AC because of the humidity. Today is forecast for 85*...

That's late April-May weather if not outright June weather for Bexar county. I hope we get a few more cool fronts!

It's been in the 50's the past few days.  This morning it was 15F with a high today of 33F.  Next week, it's getting close to 65-70F.

Yesterday it was 52F when I left for work in the AM. I saw that the high was going to be 50, so I wore a light rain jacket. Little did I know that the high was when I left for work and that temperatures would plummet during the day. By the time I got out of work I just about froze. I'm about done with this winter.

Serious thunderstorms today. We've already had some hail and tornadoes in the general area. The tornado sirens went off earlier today but thankfully nothing has touched down close.
