The Walking Dead
« on: December 05, 2010, 04:20:55 pm »
Anyone watching the walking dead marathon?  What a great show.I dont watch TV much but I gave this show a shot cause Im such a zombie fan. At first I thought here goes another zombie thing that will suck. Its been done to death. But this show is good.

I hope it lasts cause Im sure it has a big budget with the make up effects and all.

It comes from a popular comic book fo the same name.

All previous five episodes are on AMC today leading up to the new episode at 10pm.

I like that the zombies are half slow and half fast, sort of in between. I like where the story is going too.

Awesome show.
Beer, its whats for dinner.

Its been done to death.

I'm sure there is a pun in there somewhere...

I haven't seen it, but I have heard about it.     I do like Resident Evil though.

I like that it's not focused on the Zombies but the interactions between the different groups of people.  I do feel this is what will keep it going.  I'm a bit sad they are moving a bit away from the comic story line but like where they are going.

I inadvertantly had it on while I was kegging my Dubbel.

I didn't realize it was a series. When did this series start?

Just finished watching the first episode. It started out very similar to "28 Days Later." Other than that, it looks like it is going to be a good series.

Some kind soul has been posting these to BitTorrent so I haven't missed any. I own every one of the Walking Dead comics (although most of them are on my comic reader on my iPhone, as opposed to paper) and the wife and I have watched the newest ep every Tuesday night. I hope it keeps going!

So what do you guys think the CDC doctor whispered in Ricks ear? Considering the blood tests, I think that he told rick that he has some sort of mutated strain of the virus and he is a zombie. Also in the flashback to the original outbreak Shane couldn't hear Ricks heart beat before he left him. The machines, life support and fluids went off. Rick was there in coma supposedly for another month after Shane left him and put the gurney in front of the door. . Could he have survived that long in that bed? Hmmm?

Mt wife thinks Im crazy, she thinks that the doctor told Rick Lori is pregnant.

I don't want to spoil anything, but let's just say the comic books cover this topic. Although, so far the tv series hasn't exactly stuck with canon.

I'm voting pregnant.

Also I'm glad they finally did something with that hand grenade. That had been bothering me for a long time. And I'll be glad when that crazy redneck one-handed Dixon SOB returns...should prove interesting  ;D

I figure it's one of the two, but if pregnant then his brother is the dad.
