Lunar Perigee
« on: March 17, 2011, 12:47:29 pm »
"On March 19th, a full Moon of rare size and beauty will rise in the east at sunset.
It's a super "perigee moon"--the biggest in almost 20 years".

Check this LINK from NASA.

I love me a fat full moon just rising.  Sounds like a good reason to hoist one. 8)

Cheers to clear weather.

Hey, neat! Thanks for the heads-up, I'll break out the binocs.

Speaking of binoculars, did you know the word for female twins and binoculars is the same in French? Jumelles.

Bi Noculars is so much more descriptive, although Jumelles just sounds like female twins... :)

Sweet.  Maybe a10t2 can tell us why it looks bigger, and the vertical1 can tell us why the world might end. ;D ;)

Isn't that the word for double trouble?

You know, Stevie Ray Vaughn and the Jumelles...  :D

Does that mean "a female's twins" or "two females that are twins" ?  :)

Rain in the PNW in March? Get out  :P

Looks like we'll have a good view here in Chicagoland. Should be cool.

There's a 40% chance of rain on the mid-atlantic coast but I'll be looking for it in any event.

Thanks for the heads up!

It has to be "two" females that are twins.

If it was three they would be triplets. :D

Brewing during a full moon has always been a great excuse for me. And I start a weeks vacation after work tomorrow! Fire up the kettles!
