Wesley Underwood of Westminster, CO, member of the KROC (Keg Ran Out Club), won a gold medal in Category #26: Other Mead during the 2011 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in San Diego, CA with the help of Lee Ann Underwood. Underwood’s Other Mead was chosen as the best among 103 final round entries in the category.

    • 5 cans apple juice concentrate
    • 3 cups oak chips soaked in whiskey
    • EC-1118 yeast
